Well it’s a gift for Dad the Golf Guru.

The download software is a bit lame. Took a bit to get it to load on Vista. (vista is junk so not surprised).

Otherwise only time and Dad can tell.

Product is fine, Horrible experience with Amazon, no financial savings whatsoever. Delivery was late. Could have bought same product at retail outlets such as Golfsmith or Golf Galaxy for the same price. Would have had product same day, no shipping charges etc.

Delivery of protective leather case took two weeks.

I will never use Amazon again.

I went to buy it, but IT DOES NOT WORK WITH ANY MAC, including the iMACs.

Have to buy something else . . . .

I bought the Golf Buddy on line to save money. It did not work out of the box. After shipping it back for repairs I didn’t save much. It took two weeks for shipping, repair and return.

It now works as it should. Measurements from standard markers to the green are within a yard or two. The screen shows only a rough outline of the green with no bunkers or water hazards. The other thing I miss is no yardage readings on the driving range which I did have on my other GPS.

When it was repaired they deleted my name from the main screen and I cannot figure how to get it back. When I called support I talked to a person who spoke real English but all she did was send me an e-mail with the instructions from the manual which is written in pigeon English and still doesn’t work.

All the courses I play were loaded in the device when I received it and no yearly fees to keep it up to date.

Every time I used it the yardage was wrong. I researched and found that the reason is that they use satelite images and a copy of the scorecard to set distance points. Skycaddy seems to be the only GPS that has people walk every course and that is why it is so accurate. It only holds 10 courses at a time but the yardage is always dead on
