The Hunterdon County Parks and Recreation Department and the National Wild Turkey Federation, organized a hunt at Heron Glen golf course to help reduce the deer population after the county Deer Management Committee realized it had an overabundance of deer at the course. They were able to offer a hunt for the disabled since the golf course was ready made for golf carts and wheelchairs.
