A great continuation to this video is “golf pro lesson downswing weightshift” and “golf pro lesson 2008 golf swing review part 2″, then blend it into the swing with “golf pro lesson perpetual motion drill”; Have fun! Shawn

Have a look at “golf pro lesson one leg swing no weightshift” video and perfect the feel of this drill; then have a look at “golf pro lesson tilted spiral” part 1, 2 and 3 as well as “golf pro lesson hooks and slices” and you will get it all back; Shawn

I mean left hip back to mirror

MrKevinso March 3, 2010 at 1:21 AM

amazingly good. Your right hip already made a lateral movement so that you can just leave it alone and return the right hip back to the new lateral position. We have been trying to make a lateral bump with the left hip and it caused the hip to be out of position by swaying. Thank you Shawn.

hey shawn! i am a 24 handicap, and usually have really consistent draw with my driver. but recently, i developed a consistent fade and lost 10 yards, every single drive. i have tried everything i usually do to hit a draw, and my father (4 hdcp) is baffled. any tips? thanks!

There are a couple of things you need to understand about the differences in length and how this will affect how gravity will track the arm-club unit around your body; see “Golf pro lesson set-up with all clubs” “Golf pro lesson swing plane” and Golf pro lesson modern driver part 1 and 2″ and see the second half of part 2 for a great tip on how to fix this mid round; You will be learning on different levels for the rest of your life in this game…it just depends how deep you want to go! :)

Hi Shawn! I don’t write here to ask you something. I just wanna thank you for what you do here on YouTube, that’s awesome. You really help me to improve my game with your clips, actually you are my golf teacher! So thank you very much from France. ++

hi shaun ive been playing golf for about 7 weeks how come one week i play good with my irons and the next week i play good with my driver my best score so far is 108 on a 73 par how do u think i can improve this

clemshaw March 3, 2010 at 3:44 AM

It is a home made job…:) Get one of the training grips and then get a demo club from a 5$ barrel at your local shop; cut to 22 inches long and then you will need to add many layers of masking tape to build up the thickness of the shaft before installing the grip; so see a good club maker and he should not charge you more than 10$ to install; Shawn

Hey Ranger golf; sorry for not getting back to you earlier; yes, we ship to India and the other videos you want to master are the “Golf Pro lesson feet together drill” then see “golf pro lesson catapult power”, then see “golf pro lesson one leg swing no weightshift” and finally” golf pro lesson 2008 golf swing review part 2″ Enjoy! Shawn

Hi Shawn, what is the ‘swinging aid’ called that you’re using in this video? I’ve seen versions of this ‘club’ but they’re all weighted versions. Thanks.

cmartingolf March 3, 2010 at 5:40 AM

Nice job. I like the “wiping” thought. Good vid!

bunkerputt March 3, 2010 at 6:19 AM

Shawn, Excellent video! Your analysis implies an interesting result: a lot of the perceived lateral motion towards the target occurs after a fixed reference point (the right back pocket) has already been established at the transition. The lateral motion is a side effect of keeping the right pocket in contact with the mirror. In this way, it forces the move through to combine both rotation with a lateral move in one motion.

KenSemak March 3, 2010 at 6:40 AM

Yes you do spin the hips (to be exact, the left hip)….BUT, you have to keep the right hip in place (back) at the top of the backswing while you turn the left hip to the left (keeping your head behind the ball). OMG….absolutely brilliant Shawn!Something that was not quite clear in Hogan’s book that Shawn has so expertly expained.

rangergolf1 March 3, 2010 at 6:53 AM

Hi shawn, i do feel like i am straightening my right knee, cuz i dont feel the squat.. and hence unable to clear my left hip in the correct manner ?? But ,the weight at the top of my backswing is definitely on the left side. Thanks and pls ignore if i dont make much sense, your videos and instructions are priceless.

rangergolf1 March 3, 2010 at 6:55 AM

Hello Shawn, At th top of my backswin, my weight is on my left leg (Downswing weight shift video) , so how can my “right back pocket remain in place and force the left side back to the window” on the downswing? my question is..how can the right side aid in clearing the left hip when 80-90% of weight is on the left side at the top of the backswing. in other words, i get to the reverse K position befor clearing my left hip..please clarify. Your videos are phenomenal, do you ship the DVD to India?

Love your videos, however, for some reason, when you were demonstrating and pausing, I couldn’t help thinking of Charles Barkley – maybe this should be called the Charles Barkley power move lol. Been trying it and it has added about 15 yards, and it only cost 1 window
